5 reasons to paint your baby's room in a warm color

When we talk about warm colors, of course we immediately think of red. Except that here we are going to talk about trends and dissect a little this trend of warm colors in children's rooms. The colors we are going to talk about specifically are terracotta, pink, deep beige, pale brown...

01 – Warm colors have a reassuring side

Warm colours like terracotta, dark beige or brick are colours that have a reassuring connotation. They go wonderfully with soft and pastel colours like white or cream.

Natural shades are perfect for a bedroom or more precisely for a child's bedroom. When you enter a room painted in light pastel tones you immediately feel soothed and it helps you fall asleep. If you opted, for example, for a range of white, beige, sand and cream enhanced by a touch of terracotta, as in the inspiration photo above. These colors are warm and we like them all year round regardless of the season. Light colors make the room appear larger and especially brighter. Light is very important for babies.

You will need to choose bed linen that matches the color of the walls in the baby's room. Choose natural materials such as linen or double gauze to create a serene, zen and calm environment that is very suitable for sleeping. You can mix them with a few touches of color such as brick or pink.

02 – The mix of natural materials is simple and harmonious:

Often mothers use maternity leave to finalize their child's room. The choice of bed, changing table or wardrobe are important choices that will give the theme of the room. The choice of materials is really very important. Rattan and wood are the two most trendy and adorable materials found in baby rooms.

Favor simple shapes and practical furniture for your child's world. Do not clutter yourself with imposing furniture. When children are small, moms and dads do not need much. You will see it for yourself. Our advice is to stick to the essentials when choosing furniture for your children's room.

Choose a rattan bed for example or a canopy in warm tones to reassure him during his night. Hang pretty decorations in dried eucalyptus to purify the room. Install light and discreet curtains on the windows to let the light pass through. In the presentation image, the parents have installed a pretty leaf-shaped rug. It is an accessory that will quickly become indispensable when baby is on all fours on the floor.

03 – A desire to return to basics:

Often when we have too much information, we want to quickly get back to the essentials. As you read previously, light tones are reassuring and natural materials are concrete things that bring us back to the essentials.

Children are children, so create a play area for them in their room. Why not a cabin marked out with brick paint, for example. A few rugs on the floor in pretty natural materials, low light and that's it. The rounded shape of the cabin wall immediately creates a serene atmosphere.

04 – Stick to the trend

Of course when you create your child's room, you want to flirt with the times and therefore stick to the trend. The terracotta color has been making its way into our interiors for a while now and we love it. This color is bright, it warms the atmosphere and creates a captivating bohemian decoration. In children's rooms, in order not to clutter the space in our opinion, you should apply it in touches.

Terracotta decor is everywhere! This color warms up our interior and gives a feeling of escape. Indeed, it reminds us of the southern land , the roofs of Italian houses ... It is a burning and captivating shade that we integrate into our interior and exterior decor.

The colors that add pep to a little girl's or boy's room in 2021 are bold and comforting. For your children's room, be trendy and use warm tones on the walls. If you are a little hesitant to use color in this room, you can always do it in touches. Wallpaper is a great idea to integrate this color into the decoration of your child's room. As in the image below which gives us a lot of inspiration for a twins' room for example.

The fabrics of the bed sheets should be matched for a more beautiful harmony of colors. The palette of warm tones is huge so have fun.

05 – A mixed color palette

Whether for a girl or a boy, these earthy colors will be easy to integrate into the world of the bedroom. These warm colors are totally unisex. The accessories that you add to the decoration can tip the balance towards the gender of the child. We have prepared a special children's room shopping for you in warm color tones.

Natural wood goes very well with this terracotta/brick monochrome. For your baby's room, you can add touches of natural wood, on the wall lights or wooden music boxes. Below is a selection of pieces seen at April Eleven.
