How to change the music box's musical box.

To change the case, you must first remove the old mechanism. You have two options: the first is to give a sharp blow with a hammer on the old case (tilt the music box on its side and tap the case sharply so that it comes off the wooden part) The second is to remove the mechanism using a screwdriver or the tip of a knife.

You will then have to undo the knot that holds the plastic ball to remove the damaged mechanism through the hole in the support. Once this operation is done, you can replace the new case (be careful there is a direction, make sure that the wire is in the middle of the hole provided for this purpose). You can now glue the plastic case to the support of the wooden music box with strong glue. All you have to do is thread the pearl, tie a knot at the end of the string and of course check that the music starts when you pull on the cord and especially check that the white plastic ball is correctly blocked by the knot. The more you activate the melody, the tighter the little knot will become and secure the white ball.
