Children's bedrooms in Australia are, for the most part, inspired by surfing. Light colours that remind us of sand. Beige, taupe, off-white are the most used colours in this part of the world. I also noticed that the furniture of little Australian girls is often made of rattan. The headboards or bedside tables are made of rattan or other natural weaves. There is often a wooden base and carpet on the floor. This combination is super cosy.

In Germany, vintage style has a special place in interior design, including in children's bedrooms. Germans have a real love for flea markets and second-hand shops, where they find unusual treasures and unique pieces. This penchant for retro finds translates into a predilection for vintage objects and furniture, especially those from the 60s and 70s.

German children's rooms are often decorated with elements that recall this era, when bright colours and original shapes were in the spotlight. Colourful plastic objects, typical of the 70s, find pride of place, bringing a playful and nostalgic touch to the space. We can see chairs, tables, toys or lamps in bright colours, such as mustard yellow, electric blue, or emerald green, which brighten up the atmosphere of the rooms.

German mums and dads like to combine these vintage pieces with modern or minimalist elements, creating a harmonious contrast between the past and the present. This fusion of styles makes children's rooms warm, welcoming and full of character, providing an ideal setting for the development and creativity of the little ones.
