A little girl's bedroom in Australia

Children's bedrooms in Australia are, for the most part, inspired by surfing. Light colors reminiscent of sand. Beige, taupe, off-white are the colors most used in this part of the world. I also noticed that the furniture of little Australian girls is often made of rattan. Headboards or bedside tables are made of rattan or other natural weavings. There is often a wooden base and carpet on the floor. This combination is super cozy.

What do you put in a bedroom in the United States?

To begin with, have you noticed the size of the rooms in the US? Often they are huge! You have certainly noticed it in American series like in....... Another particularity of the child's bedroom in the United States, the very large bed. Everything is out of the norm in this country.

In France, a child's bed is generally 90x190cm but in the United States it is more 120x190cm. Americans are a fan of decor, their style can be described as classic with dark colored furniture. As in Australia, we find carpet on the floor. This coating is so nice for children.  The bedrooms of young New Yorkers are darker and more opulent. The wood is dark, the cupboards are fitted out with large shelves like in Toy Stories. The sport is proudly displayed in the bedrooms of American teenagers.

In the American teenagers' bedroom, we find the American flag above the bed. A beautiful patriotic headboard in the colors of the country. Sports like baseball or football take up a big part of the decor in American boys' rooms. For girls, the sport that inspires them is cheerleading. Cheerleader accessories are featured in the bedroom. The trophies are proudly displayed in children's rooms in the United States.

What do you find in Nordic babies' rooms

You will certainly have heard of Hygge, which is much talked about in the countries of northern Europe. The lifestyle is intended to be minimalist. It's not surprising then when we look at the decor of Finnish children's bedrooms to find the bare minimum. Danish moms are the best when it comes to DIY kids' rooms. The common point of many Nordic rooms is Ikea!

Color and vintage in a child's bedroom in Germany

German children are bathed in colors and graphics. These children's rooms are certainly the most cheerful in the world. German moms love color and it shows! In children's rooms, we find walls in red or yellow colors. Often on the walls we find frames with beautiful colorful and graphic posters.

In Germany, the vintage style occupies a privileged place in interior decoration, including in children's rooms. Germans have a real love for flea markets and flea markets, where they find unusual treasures and unique pieces. This penchant for retro finds translates into a predilection for vintage objects and furniture, particularly those from the 60s and 70s.

German children's rooms are often decorated with elements reminiscent of this era, when bright colors and original shapes were in the spotlight. Colorful plastic objects, typical of the 70s, find pride of place, bringing a playful and nostalgic touch to the space. You can see chairs, tables, toys or lamps in bright colors, such as mustard yellow, electric blue, or emerald green, which brighten up the atmosphere of the rooms.

The furniture, often from flea markets or specialized boutiques, is chosen for its retro aesthetic but also for its quality and its history. German moms and dads love to combine these vintage pieces with modern or minimalist elements, creating a harmonious contrast between past and present. This fusion of styles makes children's rooms warm, welcoming and full of character, providing an ideal setting for the development and creativity of little ones.

A world tour of children's rooms.

Whether you are a little American or a young Australian, in their bedroom the bed will always be in the center of the room.

Depending on the country, the color of the walls or floor covering may vary. Australian and Californian children's bedrooms are inspired by the ocean and surfing. A common point for these countries miles apart.

Pastel colors and checkerboard prints are very present in Californian babies' rooms. In California we clearly live outside. The sun shines here almost all year round. Palm trees and cacti are omnipresent in the American landscape.

All these outdoor inspirations can be found in the children's rooms and baby rooms of little Californians. You can easily find palm trees painted on the walls. Sky blue to recall the color of the sky.

Pastel colors are super calming in the children's room. I love these colors, it's so cheerful and childish.
